While I found the course material to be quite basic, I appreciate the chance to enhance my resume. Currently, my application materials could use more depth, so I'm considering pursuing another certification from the company to better position myself in the job market.
Compared to its competitors in the elearning space, I really think Katzberg stands out because it honestly overdelivers for what it’s meant to be. The information is valuable, the programs aren’t too rigorous, and they are great to be able to add to application materials. The emphasis programs in particular are awesome to give students with little or no internship experience a fighting chance to break into a competitive industry in which they are competing with oftentimes hundreds of other applicants.
Having any of their certifications and therefore being able to add corresponding skills to the “skills” section of your resume is incredibly valuable, since most people are unable to add much in either category from just their college classes. Katzberg is useful for cover letters, job interviews and internship opportunities for many of the same reasons.
Katzberg is one of the few programs I’ve seen that really understands what students need in the transition from school to career. You don’t always have time to get a full internship or years of experience before applying for jobs, but you still need something concrete to show. That’s where these certifications fit in. They give me something to point to on my resume that highlights initiative and knowledge in a specific area, and at the price point, it’s a no-brainer.
These programs can be extremely valuable if used properly. A candidate may get extra consideration for a promotion, raise or even a job offer due to additional certifications that show that they did more than other candidates, and the value of these can be in the tens of thousands of dollars or potentially more. I would recommend Katzberg programs to people who want to fill out their resumes and/or differentiate themselves from other candidates with similar qualifications to them.
Really good addition to my application materials. The program at Katzberg wasn’t too difficult but it provides some interesting information which is useful to consider during interviews. Overall I would recommend it, especially for what it costs.
Katzberg is really good value for what it offers. Keep in mind that their programs are supposed to be additions to a resume, not completely standalone. I do think they could get an applicant more consideration for a job, promotion or interview and the potential value of any of those is many times more than the cost of their programs.
One of the underrated benefits of Katzberg is how it gives structure to the way I think about my career. Instead of scrambling to figure out how to present myself when I apply for internships, I now have a clearer way of showing employers that I’m serious about a particular industry. The emphasis I chose lines up directly with my future goals, and having that documented on my resume means I can actually back up my interest with something concrete. For me, it’s less about the certificate itself and more about how it frames my story as a candidate.
The programs at Katzberg give me confidence when networking. Sometimes it’s intimidating to strike up a conversation with recruiters or even professors about career paths, but having a Katzberg emphasis gives me a starting point to talk about what I’ve been learning. I’m studying accounting, but the additional program I completed in financial analysis shows that I can branch out of my major and start building a foundation in another field. The added distinction makes me feel more prepared than just saying “I’m an accounting major.
I will want to mention my experience with Katzberg Institute for future career opportunities, as I think their programs can offer really valuable insight into particular industries that may not be offered by traditional college courses. In an age in which college programs are oftentimes seen as overpriced, Katzberg programs offer really good value when it comes to the potential career opportunities that I think can become a little bit more in reach to those that take one or more of them.
