Good central location and parking was so easy right in front of the condo door! I agree with a previous person's comment that instructions should say it's the first condo to the right when you drive in past the gate. The 2 lanai beach views from the living room and bedroom, were amazing! Listening to the ocean 24/7 was wonderful. Except when the wall AC units were on. It is loud. But at least there is AC available, some condos don't have it. We were a very short walk to the beach walk and to Dukes, plus other places to eat. The response rate and service from the property management company was excellent. The condo overall was very clean, but no carpet vacuum lines (that you'd get from a really good vacuum) so we did a revacuum before walking barefoot. We would have preferred hard floors but we knew what we were purchasing and it was good for the price. Having 2 bathrooms was very convenient for getting ready. There is no counter space in the bathrooms though, so be prepared to put everything on the toilet seat when getting ready or hold your shower bags somewhere else. I used the small living room corner table to hold my shower bags. The shelving (if you can call it that) in the bathrooms comes out from the wall about 2.5-3 inches, which doesn't hold anything on it. Also condo needs more USB plugs. This condo is very out dated on that part. I appreciate the old style of the condo, it is very cute. But with that, there is not much USB availability. We used our portable cell chargers and my husband's laptop to charge everything and had to take turns charging. So be sure to bring your WALL PLUG INS not just your charging cord. There's no ice maker. I think the property management company should tell the housekeepers to fill water into the ice cube trays when they clean it. So then there could be ice started for the next tenant. So instead we had to start making our own ice when we checked in. The kitchen had plenty of cookware, good supply. But kitchen spices and oil supply are very basic...a cooking oil, a salt and pepper. It'd be nice if they had a little more to add to their spice cabinet. So be prepared to bring your own if needed. We bought two spices and left them behind for future guests. The coffee maker was very good quality and the coffee supply never ran out for me. I enjoyed drinking coffee on the lanai every morning. I wasn't aware that there were beach chairs and a beach umbrella in the living room closet. It would have been nice if there was a 'welcome info sheet' to let the tenants know what is available for use. We didn't find that out until day 5 of our 1 week trip. As an Airbnb owner myself, I always leave a welcome sign so my tenants know everything that is available for their use and how to get around the house. Condos in Kauai are very expensive, especially beachfront, so overall it was a good deal for our first time on the island and being ocean front.
