I would like to give Kasia in the Guildford Branch all the credit for these 5 stars! For many months I was planning a fairly complicated trip over to the UK from NZ, and she was so patient as I navigated my way back and forth with questions and change of plans! She really is a massive asset to the team, and it was with great pleasure that we finally got to meet her when we arrived for our first pickup. The cars were great, well maintained and nice models to drive.There were a couple of points I'd like to mention just by way of feedback that if Kendalls were to reconsider would truly make them top of the pile when it comes to car rentals..... firstly the petrol was always (I rented three different cars over a two month period) at some random fill level. This made it virtually impossible to bring it back with the correct amount in it. When I asked why not go full-to-full I was told (not by Kasia) that there was no petrol on site....however there is (in Guildford) a petrol station literally next door, so I can't understand why it can't be filled before each rental. I miscalculated my driving before dropping the last car back and would've been almost half a tank over what I needed to return it as, and was told by the person that there was nothing they could do (I'd inferred maybe a little refund) and he joked that he'd consider it "an early christmas present"! It's such a simple remedy to do full-to-full, and a lot less of a headache for the customer. The other thing was the 8am drop off, I understand that it needs to be a full day for rental calculations, but could it not be 10am?! When staying with an elderly relative getting to Guildford by 8am was very difficult, so I found myself dropping the car off the evening before, which left me feeling cheated out of my full day's rental. Moving it to 10am would just make it so much more manageable I would think for most visitors (check out of hotels etc tend to be 10am). Anyway, I've given 5 stars because I truly believe it's one of the best rental companies I've been to and would highly recommend, those points would just be hopeful suggestions for next time I'm back in the UK.
