They want proof of savings including account information, pension details. ISA details, every aspect of your financial life. It’s got to be contravening confidentiality laws. That and passport details & deep incursions to personal information. How can that be legal even.Good credit rating, landlord references, means nothing because it gives them an excuse to troll for information & use as they think fit. I have acted as a guarantor for my grandchild for years, with higher rents & she has a clean record of rent payments. Good references all round. I have given ample information but they want more. It’s a SCAM!
