I've crowdfunded a few things, generally happy. However with the Bru machine (a tea brewer) the manufacturer finally sent me a broken machine. Bru refused to give me a refund but said they would send another machine AFTER I returned the broken one to Switzerland (I live in the UK). I objected but did so as there was no alternative other than losing my money (around £150). The replacement machine arrived with a european cable which is useless. They agreed to send the right cable provided I pay postage! They said they would refund the original return shipping but I haven't seen it after several weeks. Kickstarter were contacted but refused to play any part in helping me to insist on my original postage being returned and a cable being sent free of charge. Both Bru and Kickstarter are companies I recommend steering clear of.
