Ohhhh WHY didn’t I check TrustPilot Reviews before now about KickStarter❓ Yes I’ve had multiple success with KickStarter campaigns in the past, but I’ve come to realize that KickStarter is a quite a fertile breeding-ground for scammers to collect windfall profits and then disappear into the mist of the internet w/ohaving fulfilled their stated obligations.Kickstarter SERIOUSLY needs a revamping of their platform, so backers can tell the legit product developers from the scam artists. While something similar to how sellers are rated via eBay would suffice, what would be much better is to enable backers Like/Dislike (ie ThumbsUp/ThumbsDown, etc) Project Updates and/or user comments. Then it is simple enough for KickStarter to monitor negative indicators to take necessary actions to enforce their own Terms of Use Policy. As it presently is and has been to date, KickStarter is little more than just a Free-For-All platform where each Project Backer (ie patrons) roll-the-dice and see how things turn out. There is no formal complaint platform, nor monitoring system in place to address such on KickStarter. You, as a Project Backer, are either Lucky or Unlucky...end of story.WORDS TO THE WISE: Treat KickStarter as a true Gambler’s Environment and you’ll probably be satisfied with it. However if you treat it as a true product development resource (with predictable results), and you’ll get burned as scammers make off with millions of dollars from unsuspecting investors.
