Backed a project for hundreds of dollars and Kickstarter offered no help whatsoever when the project failed to deliver 2 years after the campaign closed and more than 12 months after the product was to be delivered. Ultimately the scammer who ran the project took >$2 million from Kickstarter "customers" and bailed. Kickstarter did not hold them accountable. They enable scammers to operate freely by providing protection via dodgy terms and conditions. It is a safe haven for scammers and ripoff merchants. Don't waste your money!
