I bought a bbq from the website in June through the payment on delivery option. Unfortunately, the delivery company they used is a complete nightmare. I never received the parcel, they just marked it off as a failed delivery attempt and returned it to Klarstein.Upon contacting the customer service and asking them to please resend the parcel, they told me to simply order the product again - because the price had increased by more than 30% in the meantime!I had contacted the delivery company several times trying to get my hands on the original parcel and also made it very clear to Klarstein that I absolutely still wanted the product and simply never got a chance to accept the delivery. Over the past two months, it's been marked "out of stock" twice, so instead of honoring a valid purchase contract, they resold MY product to other customers at the new higher price. I never received an order cancellation from them and their own t&cs clearly state the purchase contract will be considered effective at the time of order confirmation. I have all the documentation to prove it wasn't my fault that I didn't receive my order in the first place, yet they stubbornly try to make me pay for their mistakes.I'm seriously considering taking the matter to European consumer protection.
