Lending team was responsive and easy to work with. Trisha was very helpful and answered emails quickly. There were a few issues regarding payoffs and communication with the primary lender. My assumption was that the mortgage for my old home would be paid through an escrow account but a lump sum check for 6 months of payments was sent instead. The check was lost in transit. Two other checks were created but one was sent to the old address with a stop payment on it. Fortunately this was discovered before it created overdrafts but it was definitely inconvenient. In the future,I would choose a wire or direct deposit to avoid this issue. Also, I'm not sure why these funds couldn't have just been wired to the closing on our new home and a credit issued by that title company. Ultimately we were borrowing the same amount. Hindsight being 20/20, I would probably do a cash out refinance on my existing mortgage if I had to do it again. It would have made things much simpler.
