I recently underwent lens transplantation at a hospital in Istanbul. I was a solo traveler, nervous about eye surgery despite my research. The staff at the hospital were incredible. From the first contact, communication was excellent, and I always received prompt responses. I was met at the airport late at night and taken directly to the hospital, where I felt safe. The next day, I had several tests followed by a consultation with the doctor who recommended the best implants for me. There was always someone available to translate. My first surgery that afternoon went smoothly, and I felt confident in the staff's professionalism. The procedure lasted about 20 minutes, and I felt no pain. The next day, I could see near, intermediate, and distance clearly, though not 100%, but without glasses. After further checks, I had my second surgery, which also went well. The following day, my vision had improved significantly in my first eye, and after removing the patch from my second eye, my sight was excellent. I'm thrilled to be glasses-free, and my vision improves daily. I was informed it can take 1-3 weeks for full results. I received eye drops for home and detailed care instructions. I'm very grateful to everyone involved in my journey.
