Very disappointing experience with LATAM Airlines.
Even though we had already paid for checked baggage, at the airport we were told it was not included and were forced to pay again. The situation became even worse when I collected my backpack and found that the protective luggage cover I had securely placed on it was missing, something that cannot come off by accident as it was fully closed and secured with a zipper. On my very next connecting flight, I was required to pay to have my backpack wrapped for protection — something that obviously would not have been necessary if my original cover had not been removed.
I tried to resolve the issue through their WhatsApp support system, but it was completely unhelpful and I never received a fair solution. Overall, very frustrating experience. I definitely expected much better.
