In response to the company's reply: The crux of the issue is the surprise charge. Had that not occurred, we would have had more time to explore options and discuss with customer service. We would have realized that the company could not certify us for the state we intend to visit, and we would not have proceeded with them. However, because the charge went through immediately, we felt rushed to make a decision, and the company imposes cancellation fees. The entire process remains confusing, including the terminology in the terms and on their informational pages. We were led to believe that if we were not properly assisted and the certification was unused, we would receive a refund. Additionally, we discovered we qualified for a free evaluation elsewhere. To complicate matters further, the physician suggested an easy resolution through the dispensary in the visiting state, which turned out to be inaccurate. The visiting state requires an additional application and fee, making it impractical to proceed with this company, especially since we are already incurring significant out-of-pocket healthcare costs and they cannot assist due to restrictions. We genuinely hope the company chooses to refund us in this situation. If they truly care about helping those on a budget access proper healthcare, they would honor this request. We're relieved we didn't opt for their membership, as that would have resulted in even more wasted money, especially since they confirmed that they do not cover the visiting state and local dispensaries do not participate in their discount program. Moreover, they have unfairly restricted access to information until after payment, making the $79 loss for care costs and medications even more frustrating. Original Review: On Dec. 17th, 2025, we were comparing prices for medical marijuana certification online and found this company, which seemed like a flexible option since they cover many areas as we travel. After registering, we realized we couldn't access total costs or appointment dates without entering our credit card information. We sought help from their bot before submitting our details, which confirmed the amount and stated we could apply discount codes during checkout, then make an appointment afterward. However, upon entering our credit card info and proceeding, we were charged without confirmation or a chance to apply the discount code. We contacted the chat bot, and they assured us an agent would follow up. A few hours later, an agent reached out regarding the discount, but we saw both a pending $0.00 and the initial $79.99 charge. We scheduled our appointment, believing we would receive the necessary assistance or a refund if things didn’t go well, as per their policy. The appointment began smoothly, and approval was straightforward with the necessary documentation. However, during the Q&A, everything changed. We learned that the physician, while courteous, was not licensed in both required states for approval and suggested contacting the visiting dispensary and the company for further help. After the appointment, we reached out to the dispensary and state health department, which informed us that a different approval was needed for visiting states. We also learned that another service provides FREE Louisiana certification. We contacted the company's chat support for help with the out-of-state temporary card, but they could not assist, even though the visiting state has a medical marijuana program. They also stated we do not qualify for a refund despite the incomplete service and not having used the certification yet! We have formally reached out to the company's support and are awaiting a response regarding our refund request. We have also contacted our financial institution about the unexpected charge and incomplete service, and we were advised to wait for the transaction to post before disputing it. If the company honors their refund policy, we will update this review with more details and potentially more stars if warranted.
