Single Mom to a two year old and this course was self-paced so that I could balance studying and note-taking with being a Mom. It was a great refresher in several aspects as I used to be a driver, but parenthood has set me back from returning to a driver position. With the skills I had as a driver and now with the knowledge from this course, I am North Carolina's newest Independent Dispatcher with my own LLC. The assistance that is provided between downloadable examples, excel formulas, and links to future load boards, gives a new dispatcher little reason to be fearful of starting their own company. This course was extensive though and took me a couple of weeks to complete. You may find it easier to complete if there are lesser distractions in your home environment but even so, I was able to see what it would be like to try and divide my time between my child and the dispatching course and I will be just fine.
