Lensway quite heavily promotes certain products to customers even if they dont actually align with the customer’s contact lenses prescription. My old contact lenses model was discontinued and I changed to another model that was recommended by the website based on a search for the original model. A little bit sloppy on my side perhaps, but I did not check the exact measurements of the new lens, and the website also did not flag the deviation between my order and my prescription. I ended with severe cornea damage and dry eye syndrome caused by contact lens measurements that were off. The difference between the models was not big but even small differences can sometimes be consequential. Should contact lens stores flag if you are about to order a product that is a little bit off? It is ok to very visibly advertise lenses that don’t quite suit?
