Mar Shopping. English and Portuguese. Fui abordada pela gerente Carmen Rosa. I was accosted by the manager Carmen Rosa. Queria trocar uma embalagem que foi aberta e não me trocavam pois a embalagem estáva danificado. O plástico estava rasgado. They would not let me exchange some curtains because the package was ripped. I then took a photo and got her name and she called the police. I deleted the photo and she was physically stopping me from leaving the shop. Absolutely disgusting behaviour over some curtains. My customer rights violated. I have a right to return items. My personal space invaded and I was being manhandled. Made me show my phone to prove that I had deleted her photo I had to flick through my photos. I didn’t even know that I wasn’t allowed to take photos in this country. As a foreigner on holiday I am completely disgusted by the way I was treated. Having spent quite a few hundred pounds here in the last two weeks. If not 1000 I was shocked by this whole interaction. This is not what you expect as a customer. I would not use this shop again and this manager to be let go. If this is shop policy it’s awful. I’ve not experienced this in any other shop ever. It was akin to being treated as a criminal rather than a customer. I have never in my life experienced anything like this.
