The process was a very slick operation from the start to the completion of the installation. It was only a few weeks between contacting LET Renewables for the first time to having the solar and battery setup finished.I was impressed with the information and videos by LET shown online which explained the advantages and benefits of solar installations. Initially, Lewis replied to the query and then, with no pressure, offered to come and do a no-obligation, no-cost, drone survey and roof inspection and then come up with some proposals, dependant on our aims. On the survey day Lewis arrived and we discussed some ideas before he got the drone up and checked the roof. We then sat down for a discussion about options and we came up with several proposals, at a number of price points, and with various types of hardware. These were provided as browsable proposals, showing the expected returns of each idea. Lewis left these with us to consider whether we wanted to proceed. In the next few days Lewis followed up to make sure we had everything we needed, but didn’t pressure or intrude on our thoughts. We were undecided whether to install panels on just the west side or both east and west. Eventually Lewis offered (for a small fee) to submit plans for the grid DNO application to find out how much we would be allowed to export to the grid. This was expected to take several weeks, but we had a reply a couple of days later with permission to export what we required for panels on both sides of the roof, so decided to go ahead with the full installation. The equipment was ordered and the installation date booked with the scaffolding being erected the day before and dismantled a week later. The installation of the 32 panels, shared between the two sides of the roof, inverter, batteries, and home backup were all completed in 2 days. We also had a car charger installed at the same time. The 3 guys who completed this were friendly, tidy, knowledgeable and pleasant and communicated at each step of the way. Finally, all the components were tested and handed over with a clear explanation of how it all works. The app setup was also done and demonstrated. They worked hard and finished all the work in super-quick (but not hurried) time, ensuring everything was left neat and tidy. They even replaced some dodgy tiles as part of the service. All the appointments were on time, well communicated and a pleasant experience. Their knowledge, professionalism and expertise were great.We’ve eagerly monitored the operation of the system, and haven’t had to import any power from the grid for several days, even in February. We look forward to getting the final documentation so we can apply to our energy provider for the export tariff. Overall, this has been a great experience and we are delighted we chose LET Renewables for our installation and would highly recommend them.
