My nephew and I did the EBC trek in April 2024 with life Himalaya. We booked the luxury experience for the two of us, which started and ended at Aloft in Kathmandu. The team was awesome from day one to day 13! Luxury experience included helicopter ride to Lukla so we avoided flight delays that others had to face. Jal was our phenomenal guide who walked with us our porter carried our bigger bags. Every tea house was clean and quite, we stayed mostly away from loud crowds which was much appreciated. My favourite time was the side trek to a monastery where I saw a yeti’s head! I also appreciate that Jal synched his speed with my slower speed while my nephew sprinted ahead of us, this way each of us got to enjoy the trek at an our own pace. The Garlic soup and dal Bhat lunches are also very memorable. The views cannot be explained, you just have to experience yourself. With the luxury trip we also had helicopter ride back from the last village, Gorakshep to Lukla and then another to Kathmandu. Worth every penny! I can’t say enough for all the work this team put in to ensure that our trip was safe, successful and memorable. Thanks to Jal, our porter and Shiba, we have memories for a lifetime.
