I saw their YouTube ad on the day before my test. I clicked on the link and everything seemed fine. "A free 7-day trial", WOW! No, no, no. In whatever gibberish language they speak, a free trial is considered taking my money and saying they will give it back in 10 days. As I´ve read through the reviews, I´m starting to question their reliability. Weird program, ok app, VERY BAD payment program and nothing is special about this app as a whole.
Lingopie is great for watching shows in another language. You can stop the video and scroll through each word in the subtitles for its meaning. And you can slow the speed down to be able to understand the language if you need to for comprehension.
I love the interactive features that allow you to click on words in the video. It let's you hear the word, say it, and tell you how it is used in everyday context. At the end of the video, you can do a little quiz to see what you remembered. I also like that you can slow or speed up the audio. You can also do live classes and speak to a native along with others! Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to learn a new language or practice their skills.
Avoid this company at all costs! There is no genuine ‘free trial’ - I was charged without my consent. Fortunately, I managed to cancel the subscription promptly and received my money back, but I incurred a fee from my bank due to the transaction. Ultimately, NO MONEY should have been taken from my account.
