I had the opportunity to participate in the Lite Regal Education program for a week, and it was a truly enriching experience. As a medical student, I was placed with a GP in a private clinic, which gave me valuable insight into the everyday responsibilities and challenges of general practice in the UK.The GP I shadowed was incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely passionate about patient care. They took the time to explain clinical reasoning behind diagnoses and treatments, and made sure I was engaged throughout the consultations.I also want to thank Rechelle, who assisted me throughout the week.She was not only supportive but also genuinely kind.This experience helped deepen my interest in general practice and gave me a much clearer picture of what a career in this field involves.
