I have severe dust mite allergies. I have owned other air purifiers in the past. I usually have to dust several times a week to keep my allergies under control. I dusted the day I received my sans and it's been 2 weeks and there is no dust on my furniture. It is very quiet. It only ramps up when it detects something in the air. I am so impressed with this large one that I just ordered 2 minis for bedrooms.
