Frustratingly poor customer service. My last order remains unfulfilled almost six months after being placed. I have been a regular with them for years and this last experience, coupled with similar ones experienced by colleagues puts them firmly in the "do not do business" category.

Used to be an excellent site but latest…

Used to be an excellent site but latest experience is similar to many others reported - namely one month in and they have not even shipped yet! An unreasonable delay given that the order is paid. Will avoid in future and look elsewhere.

DO NOT order from them!

I ordered via their Malaysia website in early November. The item was in stock and I was expecting them to send out in a couple of days. But my order is "pending" til now.... The Malaysia rep finally replied me in late November saying I had to wait for 3 MONTHS instead! Please stay away at all cost!!

Delayed or non shipping.

I bought a couple of kits. The website only gave me one shipping option, 14-21 day shipping. Quite expensive but I decided to pay for the expedited shipping. It has been 6 months and no delivery. Sent multiple requests to customer service asking if I could at least get a partial shipping refund. They only said they are shipping the package and have stopped replying to any of my requests. If you want to buy here understand that you might never get your package and customer service is poor and will not communicate with you.

Appalling service

I started buying from Luckymodel in 2011. Back then, it had unbeatable offers and I never had issues with their service. Lately the service has lost all its standard and collapsed into a scam. I made several orders for kits that were in stock in April and June 2025. Since then I have received several shifting absurd reasons for why the items could not be sent. When I had enough and requested for a full refund, they promised refund and kept me waiting for more than a month. Only when I finally called for PayPal to intervene did I get immediate refund for what I paid using PayPal (Thank you PayPal!). They still own me 65 USD out of 358 USD. Please avoid their tempting prices because the service is appalling. Be on the look out for a coming change of name or domain. This is their likely strategy to wipe their tumbling reputation clean.

Beware Luckymodel!

Like many I used Luckymodel many times without a problem. Then in the last 2 years things became worse. Ordered kits that were in stock that took almost a year to receive. Now it’s been over 18 months , got fed up and asked for a refund. Instead was issued a credit , been fighting to get my money back . Please don’t bother with Luckymodel . There are so many other better retailers who care .

Don't buy from LuckyModel

LuckyModel was a reliable seller in the past but now is just a blackhole since they moved their warehouse from Hong Kong to Guangdong. I did ordered kits from them but the kits turned to backorder after paid, no one following up after months, finally I get them "refunded" but only received store credit for instead. OK so I need to place another order in order to spend there credits, however the order have some items unavailable therefore turned the order to backorder states as well. Now I tried to contact them but no feedback at all, feeling betrayed and I'm going to contact Police for the potential fraud.

Don't bother

Don't bother. Ordered and paid for things, waited 2 weeks no shipment. Ask them then they tell me the things I order are out of stock (which their website showed to have stock when I ordered). I asked why can't they tell me earlier? No response. Then all of a sudden closed my supporting ticket, said matter dealt with, but they had not even refund those items I paid for. When I ask they just say its in the process.If no star is an option I would give that.

Unresolved issue and crushed box arriving late

I have unresolved issue, purchased GWModels F-15c and F-15i in 1/48 scale… it clearly says on box it is edition with corrected nose shape (it was funny oval). But in box are old parts easily recognised… ordered few more times from them but kits came 4 months later and regularly with crushed box. Will not order from lucky model again
