I purchased Luxaflex Duette blinds for 4 bedrooms in July 2021 from John Lewis. They were installed on 14th Dec 2021. Initially I was very happy with them as they were truly blackout. However less than 2 months after having them installed 2 of the blinds began to look lopsided with one side pulling up unevenly. I reported the matter to John Lewis. Initially they said an inspector would come, this took several months. Finally once they came, the inspector informed me that the blinds were indeed faulty. JL had them replaced. I was concerned about the remaining 2 blinds and wanted these replaced too in case a fault develops with them but they said they couldn't do this. Yesterday John Lewis forwarded me an email from Luxaflex in which they claimed there was no blind fault and they stated that it was "customer error". I did not at all appreciate being accused of having caused the problem. I have had blinds fitted in my house for years. I have had no problems with blinds by other companies. The fact that they simply blame the customer instead of truly trying to solve the issue of improving the standard of the mechanism used to operate their blinds is astonishing to me. I expected much better quality of blinds and much better service.
