The most dreadful service I have ever experienced. Booked a taxi for my son to get to school in time for an important exam (husband and I both too unwell to drive). It’s a 10 minute journey, the exam was at 9am and we booked for 8.30am. By 8.50am they did not turn up even though it was a “priority” booking. I was furious. After several attempts to call we finally got through to a lady to be told “the next available taxi” would be sent. How on Earth is that a priority booking? When challenged, “traffic” was used as an excuse. We explained that traffic is inevitably bad at 8.30am and surely that means the cab sets off in good time for the passenger. I was exasperated and I asked for a refund of our pre-payment which was agreed. Actually they are not meant to take that payment until the passenger is delivered. Silvertown, who we usually use but were not able to take our son at that time, did actually come to the rescue. My son’s school was very understanding and enabled him to have time added on.To our horror Lynx then took payment this evening. Nothing will convince me otherwise that they are absolute charlatans!! NEVER use this firm.
