eFix Ltd (Macbook Repairs) came to my rescue when my relatively new MacBook suddenly stopped working after experiencing flickering down the side of the screen (which I stupidly ignored). As it was fairly new I thought it would’ve been covered by my warranty but it turned out that flickering was trying to tell me something- my screen retina had cracked (& was about to get a whole lot worse when the screen turned completely black &, I assumed, had broken altogether!!) but, as such, it wouldn’t be covered. With finances extremely tight & my MacBook urgently needed for work, I really started to panic! I certainly couldn’t afford a new MacBook & I couldn’t even afford to pay for Apple to carry out the repairs. Every other place I contacted said they couldn’t help (but would take a fee just to run a diagnostic) & then I found e-Fix Ltd! They were literally my knight in shining hardware armour! From the moment Reece picked up the phone, I was put at ease. He diagnosed the issue over the phone but said they would investigate further &, if they couldn’t fix it, they wouldn’t charge me! He told me they didn’t have the screen in stock (apparently it’s very hard to find- which made sense given the response I’d had from every other repair company I’d approached), but they hoped an order would come in within a month. He took my email address & said he’d be in touch. Within 3 weeks, I received an email from him saying they now had 1 in stock & sent me the booking/billing information in order for me to secure it. As soon as I’d completed that step, I received information about my free postage & set off for the Post Office. Every step seemed so simple.1 week later, I received an email saying that my MacBook had been repaired & would be despatched that day. True to their word, a courier arrived the next day with my fully working MacBook- it looks like it has been cleaned as well as repaired (plus, I found a few little Moam sweeteners enclosed too. By the way guys, such a lovely little touch- thank you so much!). In fact, it actually looked brand new again! I’m so grateful, I almost cried when I turned it on & heard the motor whirring again. As a self employed person, I rely on my MacBook for every penny I earn & so I was completely screwed until they came to my rescue. e-Fix Ltd, I am forever grateful & I really hope you get all the recognition you deserve.
