I ordered two flush mount ceiling lights. They were drop-shipped from China, and took three weeks to arrive. When they arrived, they were not at all as described. The listing I purchased from specified metal and glass construction, yet the product I received was made from plastic and plastic, and looked cheap. There were even injection moulding witness marks on the panels of clear plastic.I contacted customer services, and was told I could only have a refund if I shipped the mis-sold light fittings back to China at my own expense, which is a breach of the Sale of Goods Act 2015. Also, the return address provided looked like a scam: 'No. 2 freight elevator on the west side of the 3rd floor, upstairs, Yuantong Express, No. 409, Suxi, Yiwu Town, 310000 Zhejiang'. Google satellite view showed me that this was in a park next to a river. I suspect that no real international courier would even agree to accept a parcel to such an address.Their website contains fake Google reviews that include non-integer numbers of stars and clearly AI-generated text. There are no reviews for them on Google.I've reported them to Google for infringement, I've reported them to Trading Standards for breaching consumer law, and I've requested a chargeback via my credit card provider.
