Maison Margiela Customer care department have failed in so many ways.If you have any customer care issue with them, just expect them to leave you disappointed, dissatisfied and completely illogical in their approach to customer care issues.I purchased in September 2018, a Margiela black T shirt with a while panel stitched on it and also a pair of black Margiela sliders to match.These were purchased from the retailer - Mr Porter. However, after not much wear and the fact I look after my clothes. Both items now have quality issues. The white panel on the t shirt is stitched on and now that stitching had come loose on both vertical side, it looks a mess. It's such a disappointment as in less than two years of ownership of a £160 t shirt it has deteriorated more rapidly than a t shirt from H & M. The sliders are glued onto the sole and the they are now coming off the sole and I am scared that they will just completely come off. Again, these are not used as house slippers, they are used not very often as they are expensive. Ok so that's the issue with the items. Where it's been an overwhelmingly let down is the response from Margiela when I called them to report the quality defects. They outright just said. You didn't buy directly from us so it is not our problem. Take it up with the retailer - Mr Porter. Margiela are the manufacturer, they produced the product and are telling me that a retailer will be able to assess and have more knowledge and experience about their products then them! You created the item you would know what went wrong. You also should take ownership and rectify the problem and reach a positive outcome for me.I even contacted Mr Porter and they have said I fall outside their 6 month warranty period and so they are rejecting my request for a refund or any other type of resolution also for which I will be leaving another first pilot review about them.In short, Margiela customer care policy is flawed and if you don't buy from they they don't care and the customer care representative even had the audacity to say that there is no point in forwarding the case to her manager as the manager will just reject my case! How does that make me feel as a client. Disgruntled, upset and totally unacceptable. I've never been treated like this by any other luxury fashion house and they have always sorted out the issue and come to a amicable solution.But Margiela, they have been worse then any other company I have ever dealt with.
