THIS RUINED MY WEEK. I INSTALLED IT HOPING FOR A BETTER ANTI-VIRUS. A FEW HOURS AFTER INSTALLING IT FROM THE OFFICIAL Malwarebytes WEBSITE, IT TURNED OFF MY WIFI. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A COINCIDENCE, SO I RESET ALL WIFI DATA AND IT WORKED FOR A BIT UNTIL MALWAREBYTES OPENED. THEN IT IMMEDIATELY STOPPED WORKING.
SO I GO TO UNINSTALL MALWAREBYTES. IT GOT TO 5% THEN FAILED BECAUSE THERE WAS NO INTERNET. IT DISABLED THE INTERNET, AND WHY DOES UNINSTALLING REQUIRE INTERNET?
SO I TRY TO FORCE CLOSE ALL MALWAREBYTES INSTANCES WITH SCRIPTS TO MAYBE REGAIN WIFI. DIDN’T WORK — INSUFFICIENT PERMISSIONS. I TRIED TO DELETE MALWAREBYTES WITH SCRIPTS, STILL INSUFFICIENT PERMISSIONS.
SO I HAD TO WIPE MY ENTIRE WINDOWS INSTALLATION AND REMOVE THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF PROGRESS JUST BECAUSE I WANTED A BETTER ANTIVIRUS. WHAT IS SO GREAT ABOUT THIS ANTIVIRUS? IT IS ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE.
