Our tour of Sri Lanka was a complete success and very well organised. We saw many of the country's most important cultural, scenic and recreational highlights and gained a very good impression of the island's diversity.
Cultural highlights included Sigiriya, the temple complexes of Dambulla and Kandy. We were particularly impressed by the highlands around Ella, with the train ride through the tea plantations and a safari in Yala National Park. At the end of our trip, we were also able to enjoy a few relaxing days on the beaches in the south. The mix of culture, nature and relaxation was just right.
A big compliment goes to our guide Hasanka. He was always friendly, reliable and very well organised. We were particularly impressed by how attentive he was – even with small things, such as always making sure we got the best seats in restaurants. His explanations were informative and easy to understand, and we felt well looked after at all times. This also applied to the car journeys – fortunately, he is a relaxed and very good driver. Thank you!
All in all, a highly recommended trip that gave us a wonderful and varied insight into Sri Lanka. It was a real pleasure!
