We have now been lucky enough to be able to adopt two adorable dogs from Many Tears. On both occasions the communication from Many Tears has been incredible.First occasion we applied to adopt MT Logic (now Mabel) who is missing her back paws. We were called by the application team very quickly who quizzed us on why we wld want a disabled dog.. and they made sure we knew how difficult it would be and about the costs that could be incurred. We had to send video evidence of our home and garden before being invited along to meet Mabel. Three days later we made an 8hr round trip to Wales to meet our girl. Whilst there we met a lot of the fantastic staff and saw many of the dogs waiting for their forever home. The dogs were all kept in clean but simple accommodation and are clearly all loved by the hard working staff Before taking our girl home we were talked through everything we needed to know and even gifted a pair of boots for her stumps 18 months later we saw MT Maya on their site and decided she wld make a wonderful addition to our home. Maya was with a lovely foster carer who phoned to question us before agreeing we could go with Maya to have a meet and greet. This followed another home check which we only passed after having to make a few improvements. Although the checks MT make are sometimes rigid I have no doubt they are in place for all the right reasons. These dogs need and deserve to be homed with the right people. They have complex needs and require a lot of patience. Following both adoption we have received fantastic support both from MT and the foster carer, even a behaviourist is on hand for guidance. Overall a brilliant experience and you become part of a huge MT family of dog lovers
