Maple Publishers published my book and dont pay Royalties even when book has been on international sale. I will never use them again. Its a dishonest and evasive practice. They never reply to correspondence. As soon as my book was published as the author i have been neglected and each member of their staff has a different story. No consistency at all. I can not recommend this publishers at all. You are left to do everything yourself. Their proof reading cost an extra £100 and was diabolical i had to do it again myself. In 80 regional papers are 2 million views on In the World of Spud. They helped as far as publication and although being distributed to more than 130 companies worldwide they are denying all knowledge they just told me if i want to sell to do it myself. They even wanted me to prove which companies were selling the book and how many each had sold. One company was rebinding the book in leather, gilding the pages and finishing it in gold leaf for sale at $83.99. Multiples of new and used copies are being sold on EBay too. They have my name as a number on the dashboard and are refusing to divulge any information of sales. Regardless of attention it has received Maple lost interest once it had been published and John and Vrinda have been evasive. If i send an enquiry regarding publishing a second book they are very quick to reply. Their advertising about the artwork is misleading as all 21 pieces of artwork are my own except the edges of flowers on the front cover. One of their staff says its being distributed by a third party and another says its not. Im told constantly to wait another year. I have two more books to publish but that will not happen with Maple as they were negligent from the date of publication. It was published in 2023 and all ive had is avoidance tactics a continuous stream of fabricated excuses as to their negligence. I will not use them ever again. This will be looked into further.
