Just got back from shopping at the Mariano's in Elmhurst. We don't normally shop there but it was on our way home. We purchased about 30 items of which two had pricing errors. Luckily i checked my receipt before leaving the parking lot. I noticed that the pasta sauce (which we had purchased the required 5) was not reduced the $1 each like it was supposed to. We got a refund on those but then i remembered that the sweep potatoes had a sign that showed $.79, we were charged $.99. I went to the produce and sure enough there was the sign. I took up the sign to the front like i had with the pasta sauce and was not happy. The manager tried to spin it like it was some error on our part, like we hadn't understood the signs. I showed her both signs that clearly showed that we were in the right and she said that it was just human error and that these things happen. i'm sorry but i have shopped several hundred times in my life and never had 2 different items come up at the wrong price on one receipt. The "error" was about $6 on a $80.00 bill. Significant! buyer beware at Marianos!
