Whenever I faced challenges, I reached out through the 'Contact Us' section, and I usually found that my goals could be achieved with the right combination of existing tools. Replies have always come within one business day. The interface may lack the flashiness of other platforms, but its functionality is exceptional. Even those without programming skills can create complex queries and backtests through the UI, while the formula editor is a versatile tool for those familiar with coding. A key advantage over other platforms is that backtesting on US exchanges from 2000 includes defunct companies, helping to avoid survivorship bias. From a user perspective, interactive charts would significantly improve the platform’s appeal. Additionally, a community forum for sharing ideas, formula snippets, and backtest results could attract more users, and many open-source tools could be integrated for this purpose. More detailed documentation on indicator parameters, especially for non-user-configurable ones, would also be beneficial. Lastly, adding custom columns for transactions within the backtester’s exit script would allow users to log conditions leading to closing signals, similar to what’s available in the screener.
