When I started, I had done CSPs, LEAPS and few covered calls, but all without a clear strategy and with fear of assignment. This program opened my eyes to leveraged tickers, discipline, patience and a thesis behind a trade. Initially I got assigned on some multi-CAPs and mega- CAPs like TNA, SOXL and METU. When they went up 20-50%, I realized that making 5%/mo on total collateral using CSPs alone was impossible if you invested only 30% of your capital in CSPs. Now, I am eager for assignment (meaning I wait closer to expiration, even if I am way better than 50% profit, before taking profits or assignment), if that happens and actively seek it if my CCs are exercised. I started doing CCs on the assigned tickers and made some money that way or by selling appreciated stock. The weekly calls, which I catch 2-3 times/week are very enjoyable, with some being very organized and others rambling a bit, With the weekly zoom meetings, the course materials and the discord, I am learning a lot. I am not very comfortable with spreads and even less so wit ICs.As of now, I have made in 3 mos, about 20 K starting with $60 K collateral for the first two months and closer to $100K collateral now. I also realized I had too many stocks and have raised cash with the goal of simplyfying my portfolio with fewer tickers after the anticipated downturn happens. My only wish is that the program also included some training in LEAPS (especially when to take profits or losses and when to hold on).
