I'm not new to investing, I use several on-line platforms to trade on a number of markets. I thought the Markets1 platform would be an equally easy and safe way to access crypto markets - I was wrong! I spent several frustrating hours on the phone with my account manager and later his "secretary" (really...) being walked through the sign up procedures for Markets1 and then setting up an account on another platform (Binance) in order to get credit on to my Markets1 account. 24hours later I wanted a walkthrough of how I get my money out of Markets1 and my account manager was delighted to tell me that the trades (which he had, unbeknown to me, executed on my account the previous day) were in profit. An hour later, having linked to another app (Revolut) in order to get my money into the real world via Finance, I swore and hung up. It would of course have been easier if I'd given my account manager remote access to my laptop - that was a step too far for me! I still haven't got my small investment back into real money, but at least its in semi-trustworthy platform. I'm not sure if Markets1 is a scam/criminal activity, and as far as I can tell I haven't lost any money (but who knows where my personal info is..), but it's certainly has too many workarounds to be totally legit.
