went to the Navan branch Tuesday 22nd April, found three items i really liked, took them to the counter to pay with my M&S gift cards, the not so pleasant member of staff rung them through the till, I gave him the gift cards then he tells me they are only accepting cash due to a cyber incident that occurred Saturday. Fair enough but M&S already have the money from the gift card surely they could have taken them?? not only that, when I asked why notices were not displayed informing customers of the issue , the not so pleasant staff member tells me I received an email.Well I for one don't check my emails every day but when i did I found the chairperson had sent email at 4.20 that day a tadge late in the day i think. What a complete waste of my time and shocking customer service all round, such a patronising email from them sent out [eventually] saying how important us customers are to them! Been a customer for a very long time, thank goodness M&S are just one of many high street shops and my so called valued custom can be taken elsewhere.
