I’m a newer grower and wanted to document my experience with Mars Hydro support after a product failure.I purchased a Mars Hydro grow kit that included their 6-inch oscillating clip fan. After roughly one year of ownership, the fan stopped working. The failure happened very close to the end of the stated warranty period.When I contacted support, I provided everything requested — proof of purchase, serial number, photos, and video showing the issue. Communication with customer service was polite and responsive, and they did escalate the case for review.However, Mars Hydro calculates the warranty period based on the order date rather than delivery date or actual time in use. Because of this, my fan was considered slightly outside the warranty window and they declined to provide a free replacement.After escalation, the final offer was a replacement fan for $20 shipped as a goodwill discount instead of honoring the warranty.As a new grower, I chose Mars Hydro expecting dependable equipment and support from a well-known brand. Having a component fail so close to the warranty cutoff — and then being asked to pay again for a replacement — was honestly frustrating and not what I expected from the experience.
