Well, where to start! ( this could be a long review!) I only discovered Rob about 4 weeks before my son’s GCSEs started, I only wish I’d found him a year ago if not before! My son has always struggled with maths ( as I did & still do!) school has generally not helped & by the time he reached secondary he hated the subject and had developed an attitude of ‘ it’s too hard, I just can’t do it’ and gave up with any question that was a little more tricky. He’s had a maths tutor both at primary & secondary, which helped a bit, but he never enjoyed going.When I managed to persuade him to watch one of Robs free half hour sessions, it was literally like a lightbulb moment for him. He was more engaged than I’ve ever seen him with maths. I would even go as far as to say he was excited by the tricks/ hacks that Rob did. He did another 3 free sessions (willingly) and we were so impressed we paid for the predicted paper & webinar just before his last maths exam. I asked my son if he thought it had helped & he said “hell yeah!” The most amazing thing was that he answered every question on the paper, which he has never done before!! He had never been told how important showing your working out is and the fabulous advice Rob gives of just looking at the maths and ignoring the words made all the difference. Obviously we will have to see what his results are, but I truly believe if he passes it will largely be down to Robs sessions.Sorry this is so long, but unless you have a child who has struggled as much as my son has you don’t know what a relief it is to finally find some one who can really help. He has a unique way of teaching children, it’s very relaxed, funny and appealed to my son in a way nothing else has. I would tell any parent to try his free sessions first & then pay for others instead of a home tutor. ( we have literally spent thousands on home tutoring and Robs sessions achieved more in a few weeks than any of that) I just wish we’d found him sooner as I think it would have taken a lot of stress off my son & me!
