The lawsuit process was completely new to my wife and I so we learned a lot and are more than just grateful for their work, their professionalism and their respect to us knowing we were unaware of the process, pitfalls, court proceedings and hang-ups from opposing counsel, mediation, all of that.. Prior to contacting MLG, we followed a required ERISA appeal requirement for pension relief for the hope of recovering a 50+% reduction in my pension after receiving it monthly for almost 8 years. Both ERISA appeals were denied by the company which I had retired from without their addressing the provided & clear evidence that was provided to me by the company itself during my tenure with them. After the ERISA appeal process was done, our last & only alternative was to file a civil lawsuit. We never wished to be part of a lawsuit, much less file one, & always tried out best to settle conflict by being factual & friendly by meeting them head on with the other party & coming to amicable agreements or understandings. We moved from the Los Angeles area 10 years ago and now live in Colorado. This case required the lawsuit to be filed in Los Angeles.The Corporations’ headquarters was in yet another state, which we know made the case difficult to manage. MLG and Nicholas West (our lawyer assigned to the case)) in particular, did an OUTSTANDING job in understanding the complexity of the case itself & in litigating it to a positive outcome for us. Nicholas & Bob McKennon communicated with my wife & I consistently throughout the entire process as this was unknown territory for us. They were always available & VERY respectful and patient with our questions. Because this was the 1st (and hopefully only) lawsuit we were involved with, we can’t compare MLG to other law firms, but WILL definitely say that it’d be hard to imagine another firm being as attentive & as professional as they all were to us consistently. I cannot give a higher recommendation to anyone who needs legal representation than the McKennon Law Group. We feel very, very fortunate to have found them & are extremely grateful for their services on our behalf. After 2 years of them battling for us in court, about 2 months prior to a fixed trial date, the opposing counsel requested a mediation. We were super impressed with the negotiation skills used by Robert McKennon & Nicholas during the mediation process to settle our case for a significant amount of the damages that we were seeking.
