⭐ – Very Disappointing Experience with Meet5
I had a really bad experience using Meet5 and would not recommend it.
First of all, the membership is extremely expensive for what the app actually offers. Many essential features are locked behind a paywall, making it almost unusable without paying. For the price they charge, the value is simply not there.
Second, I have serious data privacy concerns. According to the data privacy information listed on the Play Store, the app collects a large amount of sensitive data, including photos, videos, location data, device ID, and other personal information. Even more concerning is that this data may be shared with third parties. That feels excessive and unnecessary for an app that is supposed to organize social events. It makes me very uncomfortable as a user.
Another major issue: my account was suddenly frozen without any warning or explanation. I was unable to join events, send messages, or create events. There was no prior notice, no clear reason given, and no transparency. Being locked out without explanation is extremely frustrating.
On top of that, customer support is very poor. I contacted them via email multiple times and never received a response. No clarification, no assistance, nothing. It feels like once they have not your money, they don’t care about helping you.
Overall, it feels like the main focus of this app is to collect money and gather user data rather than provide a good user experience. Unfortunately, my experience has been very negative.
I would not recommend this app.
