I have been a Melaleuca customer for 10 years or more, I can't remember exactly. But after this month's 35 points, I am gone for good. And it will feel wonderful. Where to begin? Well, first, I'll say that the reason I stayed with them for 10 years is because of maybe 4 or 5 products that are absolutely great - and where I can find nothing comparable anywhere. One such product is their Melamagic. It is a concentrated, melaleuca oil based cleaner that you add to water. And honestly the closest thing to it is probably Simple Green. You spray it on pretty much anything and you can wipe later. I love it for my kitchen and cooking messes. Grease, pasta sauce, you name it. It kind of sloughs off in about 3 minutes. And it is not expensive, either, if you have the membership. So, there's the positive, their products don't suck. I mean, 99% of them you can buy elsewhere, but where they excel, they truly excel. Now, for the negative. You have to purchase 35 points a month - which, right there sounds sus, doesn't it? I have to buy 35 points worth? Why not just tell me I have to spend $100 a month and stock away everything I cannot use in a month because unless you have a huge family, you will not use $100 per month's worth or product. And believe me, I have tried it all. Their vitamins are pretty good I think. I have seen demonstrable differences in my body and health and skin by using it - but there are a million vitamin companies out there and I plan to find a perfect replacement with no problems. So, ya, the product is good. But how many vitamins do I have to buy in order to keep my membership? Way too many! They have a new "Free Shipping!" feature, I am assuming to keep up with every other place on the planet that offers it if you are a solid customer or purchase a certain amount. Well.... Yep! You guessed it!! That is a scam - or at the very least misleading - because they give it back to you in "loyalty dollars" - which means you get ever more product that you won't be able to use within the month. I can guarantee that anyone who does not have a big family, and has been with them any amount of time - will have an entire cupboard filled with product they won't get to until Armageddon. I love how they send you "money saving coupons" every month. Hilarious! There is NO savings, I still need to purchase 35 points. Get it?? The coupon will give me a cheaper price, but also be worth less points, so I am still spending $100 per month on stuff I'll put in my cupboard, unseen until they expire. So, there you have it. But, I'm not bitter. I'm really not. I'm FREE!
