Vendors on Mercado Libre list extraordinarily low prices but when you buy, the vendor tells you the price is ridiculous, even though they listed it. Then they offer to sell it to you at a ridiculously high price, insulting you in the process. If you're fortunate enough to connect with an honest vendor, you may actually get what you order at a good price. IF the article you want has ratings, read the ratings. If there are no ratings, it's probably a scam. Officials at Mercado Libre do nothing to monitor or discipline scammers and make it incredibly difficult to report or even know who you are dealing with until you have paid. Use Mercado Libre only as a last resort to get what you want, and use caution. Try to communicate with the vendor before paying, if at all possible. But this is difficult to find.
