This company, Mermaid Book Publishers is nothing less and nothing more than SCAM ARTISTS. All they were interested in was money. They're ALL Liars, deceptive, and outright evil people. Every two weeks, they were constantly calling me begging for more money on some trumped up service. I even had a guy calling and telling me that they needed $1800 to fix something for my website....and that it was "Required". I said "NO!" They then tried to get me to go on ANOTHER PERSON'S PODCAST...and wanted ME to pay $3500. Again, I said "HELL NO!"They got real desperate and sent me a phony email supposedly from BARNES & NOBLE BOOK COMPANY. The email claimed how much they "loved my book" and wanted to buy 900 books to distribute in their stores throughout America, however, when I called Mermaid up, they claimed that I NEEDED TO PAY FOR THE BOOKS....and then B & N would reimburse me. The cost for the books was $8,000. Once again, I said "HELL NO!"I then contacted B & N and they quickly responded and told me that it was a typical SCAM that Vanity Publishers like Mermaid Book Publishers practiced on unsuspecting individuals. The whole book publish experience was AWFUL due to this company.For ANYONE trying to get your book published, PLEASE STAY AWAY from MERMAID BOOK PUBLISHERS! All they will do to you is "NICKEL & DIME" you through the entire process. When I finally figured it out, I literally stop communicating with them, and I refused to even accept any of their phone calls. They are full of B.S. Be wise going forward, and do not spend tons of money on publishers. Thankfully, I saw quickly what they were about, and after spending some money....that I saw would become more money, I stopped their foolish and deceptive practices...which made them angry, but I didn't give a DAMN!
