T-Mobile’s acquisition of MetroPCS is a nightmare to working class people, especially those in poverty still working. T-Mobile has an out of touch class of understanding its demographic with MetroPCS; that being affordable prices. There was offers last year of $20 plans for less than 5GB (I cannot recall the exact number below that GB,) I didn’t take it, I had more than that amount of GB used on average. That being I’m currently on the more reasonable plan that isn’t the current offers of $50-$70 plans. These are awful plans that have no retention and will cause a higher turnover of customers. T-Mobile will cause another company to go downhill. MetroPCS in my experience at least and from others that I’ve heard this past 10 years has been silent. Until, recently things have changed since T-Mobile acquired MetroPCS- causing a disruption in better pricing. The $5 autopay discount is hilarious to me. Most companies do this when it’s not actually a discount. It’s their retail price from a previous new plan that didn’t work; in essences you’re still paying the same price. It’s such a mockery. I work in telecommunications: I see the amount of people getting scammed from big corporations names as this one, including many others often. My plan will only be grandfathered for another year or longer possibly (hoping, yet low expectations). [What’s worse is once you switch it puts you through a washing loop of bs prices that go into the worst spending habits of a company.] I was once happy with MetroPCS prices; until then once they force the sundown on me- that’s when I’ll leave. Service has been great with no issues in these past 10 years. Thanks MetroPCS for all you did. I’m riding this sinking ship until then. 🫡
