DO NOT ACTIVATE 2FA (2 Factor Authentication)ON YOUR ACCOUNTS FYI: Microsoft recently had a worldwide outage (2/3/25) due to an "update" they did. Like a lot of ppl it locked me out of my email account for password attempts even though I hadn't entered any. This is a permanent lock out as of now. The change password feature wanted to send a verification code to my old mobile number. This is the only way to re-access your account once it's locked out. Cannot get into my account to change to my new number. Can't use the Microsoft Account Recovery Form to access the account as 2FA is activated. Yes, Microsoft can't get into your account if this is activated.Although a hacker probably could. Go figure.Lazy on Microsofts part and seeing the other customer reviews here seems Microsoft consider customers as the least important thing to their business model/plan. What the heck!An account that I have had with no issues for over 20yrs. All my emails gone. Including recent ones regarding the Defence Force legal emails I desperately needed.The stress this has caused is immeasurable and Microsoft will do nothing. Having severe Autism has exacerbated this massively mostly owing to the stress of having to change something so big.Microsoft doesn't care fyi. Emailed, called, live chat etc. 2025 and they don't have the tech knowledge at Microsoft to re-access my email account.
