Every time I click on a spreadsheet or document, Windows 11 opens Office 365 - and then tells me I don't have a subscription. Instead, I try and get it to open Office 2016 (which I have paid for and is installed). But it doesn't show in the list of available apps. So, I search for it. 15 minutes later File Explorer hasn't found Office 2016. I decide to get rid of Office 365 which came with Windows 11 as bloatware. It turns out I cannot uninstall it like all other apps - no it is exceptional and can only be uninstalled with a special app which has to be downloaded. 4 attempts to start it and it finally starts. The 1st time it ends and I assume it hasn't worked. I run it again. Again, it ends but doesn't report if it has removed Office 365. Out of desperation, I re-start and Office 365 has gone or at least won't open any more. When I click on a spreadsheet now - automatically Excel 2016 opens. Microsoft is insulting the way it treats customers who have paid for Windows and its Office products. Microsoft's help is always unhelpful - no accident I assume.
