I was an early purchaser of Minecraft, buying it about 14 years ago, long before Microsoft had their dirty fingers involved. During the period of playing the game, I migrated my account once, from Minecraft to Mojang, if I recall correctly. Unfortunately, due to life circumstances, I and many other users stopped playing for a time, and now upon returning have found our accounts are no longer accessible to us. We didn't migrate our Mojang accounts to Microsoft accounts. We didn't jump through the hoops. As I said, I bought this game from Mojang, not Microsoft. But Microsoft has chosen to lock me out of that account, going back in time to take control of my purchase. This is simply disgusting. Now on top of it, their support is refusing to acknowledge anyone like me. Is $20 a big deal? No. Is the principle? Absolutely. It's a slippery slope, truly, and every time we allow a company to step on consumers like this, it only guarantees it'll get worse.
