After years of carrying around dry powder extinguishers and having to deal with regularly pounding on them to unpack the settled powder I looked at alternatives. Smoke sticks, foam and halon. After seeing comparisons on videos posted by independent reviewers, I decided on the Mini Fire Fighter. It had a thick foam that covered a large area and inhibited re ignition after the fire was out. It’s 2 inches by 9 inches so it’s smaller than comparable extinguishers. I plan to use Velcro to mount it as there is no mounting bracket. On for the kitchen and one for the vehicle. The only negative is that it is not UL rated for class or comparability (I.e. 1A:10B:C).
