I really wanted to like the scanner, but it has been quite frustrating. Even with carefully chosen filters, it often displays irrelevant tickers, making it hard to trust the results. For instance, the HOD scanner doesn't show relevant tickers until filters are reset. Features like MOMO Vector sound great in theory but fail to deliver in practice. It rarely helps identify the intended momentum plays. Another issue is that switching devices resets your layout, requiring you to redo your setup. Additionally, it doesn’t dynamically show stocks as they start moving, just displaying them once until they meet selection criteria. While the 'stream' window can show highs and lows, the discovery windows either overwhelm you with irrelevant stocks or miss actual movers when filters are tightened. The charting is clunky and lacks normal charts, only offering a basic line without candlesticks. The advertised 'sparkline' is not very useful. Moreover, it consumes a lot of resources; even on a machine with 16GB of RAM, it lags significantly, particularly during market open. Despite closing other apps and using their PWA version, it still lags. Overall, this has been a disappointing experience. I expected better performance from a tool aimed at active traders. I might be better off using free alternatives. On a positive note, the news feed works well, providing fast updates for stocks with breaking news. Everything I mentioned is based on my personal experience; I’m not saying the scanner is bad, but it simply didn’t meet my needs. I would still suggest trying it out for yourself as they offer a trial period, and the full version is $40/month, which could be worth exploring.
