Yesterday, February 3, 2024, we met with Sales Associate Robert Banks at Moon Valley Nursery on 52nd Street in Phoenix. We said we were looking to buy a drought-tolerant, fast-growing, easy-care desert tree to replace a mature one in our back-yard that died as a result of last summer's extreme heat and years of drought. We said our knowledge & budget were limited, that we had $200.00 to spend. Robert Banks provided a wealth of information about desert trees and escorted us on a tour of Moon Valley's extensive inventory of trees of all ages and sizes. Other nurseries we'd visited had a little to no trees and no employees available to consult. Robert Banks was perceptive, intuitive, and informative--and an "ace" salesman to boot. We're happy with the tree we bought within budget that our Landscaper, Esteban Santiago, will pick up and plant Monday. We're optimistic that by following the advice of Robert Banks and Esteban Santiago, our tree will live and grow for years to come.
