Mother Hubbard in Lancaster is categorically the worst fish and chip shop I’ve ever eaten at and there’s been plenty!I thought I’d give them a try as it’s new in town and a few items on their menu caught my eye online.I ordered the dynamite chicken wings, adding chips for an extra £1.50 as advertised. The shop was empty so I sat in and waited about 15 minutes for my order. The chicken was breadcrumbed and over cooked and didn’t come with any of the advertised dynamite sauce and wasn’t in the slightest bit spiced, maybe it is the missing sauce that’s the spicy element! Chips, which I was charged full price for and not the advertised extra £1.50 were big, fat, warm and bone dry! All in all a pretty shocking experience and not one that I will ever repeat!
